This location is, in fact, someone's house. Imagine taking the drive and getting your family's photo in front of the homestead.įor the record: This is not an established tourist attraction. This would be the perfect family vacation, no pun intended. Colorado Springs to Cousin Eddie's: 63.3 miles.

Grand Junction to Cousin Eddie's: 304 miles. For your convenience, here's a short list of Colorado starting points: That, of course, depends on your starting location. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation 2 (also known as National Lampoons Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddies Island Adventure) is a 2003 American made-for-television comedy film. Incorporated in 1956, you'll find the town in Pueblo County, resting at an altitude of 4,465 feet. I was born and raised in the state, but until now, had no idea it existed.Īccording to Uncover Colorado, Boone is a statutory town boasting a population of 339. container of lemonade and an additional cup of tequila to bulk it up.I was "today" years old when I first heard of Boone, Colorado. You can find it here! I made it according to that recipe, but I did add a 52 oz. Usually we have leftover at the end, so I was scrambling to make another form of margarita to replace it! haha Next year I believe I’ll have plenty of ingredients for this on hand for multiple batches in case it does another disappearing act! But I do love this recipe. This big-batch margarita recipe was a HIT!! Like, it disappeared QUICKLY. Instead of cat food, we used Cheerios! 🙂įreezing your baguettes off? Why not eat a baguette sandwich in the process! 😉 I always love doing the OLD FASHIONED Family Christmas setup! It coordinates perfectly that Eddie’s daughter was in the clinic getting cured off the Wild Turkey, you need bourbon to make an Old Fashioned, and Clark so desperately wants an Old Fashioned family Christmas! Hah! I just go through the cabinet and pull out whatever I think might be good together! haha They’re always different and exciting each year! I love making Garbage Can cookies (they’re basically Kitchen Sink cookies) because they’re different every year! Start out like you’re making chocolate chip cookies, but instead of all chocolate chips, put in whatever you can find! This year, we had peanut MnMs, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, raisins, crushed potato chips, a little oatmeal… I think that might be it. What is a Christmas Vacation party without Jelly of the Month Club items in the spread?! I didn’t get a pic of the charcuterie setup where these were incorporated, but this might be one of my favorite details! I updated the Jelly of the Month Club labels this year, but I do have another version of these for sale HERE as a printable! This ends up being a big melted milkshake basically! And it is GOOD without having to mentally wrap your head around drinking eggs… gross… I like to sprinkle some nutmeg on top for cuteness and flavor! But mainly cuteness 🙂 Once these are mixed and in a bowl, I like to buy eggnog flavored ice cream and dollop it in. 2 small boxes (or one large box) of jello vanilla pudding mix.Our eggnog recipe is actually eggLESS and very easy! Simply mix together… The manufacturer of these is out of biz… The glass ones are pretty easy to find though! Unfortunately these super authentic acrylic moose mugs are a thing of the past. This ninth installment might have been my favorite… I think I say that every year! But it truly does continue to get better! We didn’t add a whole lot of new this year, but I do think we improved upon a couple of things! Here are some snaps of the setup! 🙂 BUT FIRST, here are links to recaps of parties past > // 2020 // 2019 // skipped 2018 due to a newborn // 2017 // 2016 // 2015 // skipped 2014 due to a newborn // 2013 // 2012 // We don’t have recaps of 2011 or 2010! // We have wrapped up the NINTH annual(ish) Christmas With Cousin Eddie! And it was a BLAST! We actually started CWCE 11 years ago, but we took off the years that Wilson and Dempsey were born because, well, newborn life and big party life can’t very easily co-exist around here!
